While in high school, I began tutoring other students, and continued to tutor while working to obtain a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Biology from the University of California - Davis. After graduation, I went on to pursue a master's degree in physiology from Georgetown University.I decided to continue tutoring students, because I believe that the experience and skills that I've acquired through my background in childcare and teaching, as well as my classroom experiences can be beneficial to other students. I specialize in tutoring students in math subjects below calculus level, such as elementary and middle school math, pre-algebra, and algebra I, II, III, and IIII, as well as non-mathematical subjects such as biological sciences, chemistry, and essay writing and editing. I'm also available to tutor students who need help in physiology, nutrition, and anatomy, as well as life sciences.In addition to tutoring students, I gained experience working with children during the several years that I spent as a camp counselor, assistant wrestling coach, and martial arts instructor. These experiences taught me the importance of creating a safe, positive, and fun educational environment for children so that they can succeed academically. In my free time, I enjoy athletic, outdoor activities, such as hiking, horseback riding, and skiing. I'm also an avid reader.
